The key to high event attendance is blanketing this100 mile radius with invitations to attend the show. A self-mailer, like this one, is an inexpensive way to reach a mass local audience.

It pays to take a hard look at your mailing lists, as the better the list, the better response. But, if you only look at per-registration costs, then you run the risk of disappointing your exhibitors with light attendance.

The trick is to find a balance between you CPR (cost per registration) and total number of qualified attendees.
